LAST GAME
Senior Jordana Codio (Winter Garden, Fla.) erupted for a career-high 35 points to lift the Seton Hall women's basketball team to a thrilling 63-61 victory over St. John's in the quarterfinals of the 2026 BIG EAST Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena late Saturday night.
Â
The victory sends the third-seeded Pirates into the semifinals for a second straight year where they'll meet second-seeded Villanova at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Â
The Hall's lead ballooned to as many as 13 points in the second quarter before St. John's rallied and kept it largely a two-possession game the rest of the way. The Pirates' defense late kept the Red Storm from taking the lead despite seeing their lead shrink to just one point on three separate occasions in the fourth quarter.
Â
Codio was brilliant shooting 13-for-26 from the field, including 6-for-9 from three-point range for a career-high 35 points, falling just a single-point shy of Lauren Park-Lane's Seton Hall BIG EAST Tournament record. Junior Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) had 12 points, five rebounds and four steals.

Â
The game was lost for the Pirates in the second frame as Villanova out-scored The Hall 21-6 and held them without a made field goal for the final 8:46 before halftime. Villanova's Jasmine Bascoe scored 22 points in the first half, matching Seton Hall's team total in the first 20 minutes. Zahara Bishop (Minneapolis, Minn.) had a team-high 19 points to go with five rebounds.
Â
Back on Dec. 19, the Pirates fell behind late in the first half and couldn't recover in a 72-55 loss at Villanova. The game was lost for The Hall in the final five minutes of the first half when Villanova connected on five of seven three-pointer attempts in the final 4:14. Nova's Ryanne Allen was 5-for-6 from three-point range in the first half alone. Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.) led the Pirates with 12 points to go with four rebounds. Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) had 11 points and six rebounds.
