The Hall Falls in Finale at Georgetown, 4-1

How It Happened     Â
Unlike prior games in this series, The Hall found itself with early momentum. Despite stranding a pair of singles in their first inning at the plate, the Pirates held steady in the circle and in the field. Supported by strong play from the infield, the Pirates scattered three Georgetown hits across the opening two frames to leave the game as a 0-0 stalemate.
It wouldn't be until the third inning that The Hall finally broke the scoreless affair. After collecting another pair of singles, this time with one out, a double steal attempt allowed Angelina Benitez to cross the plate and score to make it a 1-0 Seton Hall lead. However, that lead would unfortunately disappear at the bottom of the inning when the Hoyas notched a one-out double down the right field line to even the game at 1-1.
While the Pirates held strong for one more inning in the field, the pressure eventually cracked The Hall's strong showing up until that point. A sacrifice fly by Georgetown in the fifth, followed by another two runs in the sixth, would ultimately prove to be The Hall's undoing. Despite a bases-loaded chance with two outs in the sixth and one more shot in the seventh, The Hall could not muster enough of a response. After three live-ball outs on four batters in the seventh, Seton Hall fell to the Hoyas, 4-1.
