SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Despite outshooting its opposition, the Seton Hall men's soccer team (2-1-2) drew the Lehigh Mountain Hawks (0-2-3), 0-0, at Owen T. Carroll Field on Tuesday night.

In the opening half, the Pirates exhibited a significant level of control over the pace of play. Despite not closing out any of their chances, The Hall headed to the break with a four-shot advantage over the Mountain Hawks. That on-ball dominance continued into the second half, with Seton Hall once again outshooting their opposition by five shots. However, the Pirates could never find that final touch, resulting in a 0-0 draw between the two programs.

With the draw, the Pirates move to 2-1-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
As the two sides kicked off in South Orange, the Mountain Hawks looked stronger in the opening 15 minutes. Despite that early disadvantage, the offensive pressure from Til Kauschke and Tim Valentine quickly swung momentum in The Hall's favor. With the pair at the center of the home side's attack, Seton Hall found themselves with a 7-to-3 shot advantage in the opening 45 minutes. However, the Pirates did not complete any of their three on-target chances, sending the two sides to the break locked in a stalemate.

Out of halftime, the Pirates' offense relentlessly attacked the Mountain Hawks' defensive position with a barrage of attacks. The Pirates' best shot arrived in the 51^st minute when, after collecting a cleared ball outside the box, Nico Rubio sent the volley sailing towards the opponent's goal. Unfortunately, Lehigh's netminder made a diving save to quell the Pirates' early pressure. Despite searching all across the board for answers, the Pirates could not break the stalemate in the remaining time, ending the match in a 0-0 draw.

Armstrong logged his third clean sheet of the season.
