Pirates Take Aim on Army West Point Monday

South Orange, N.J. - The Seton Hall women's soccer team is tasked with its second road match in four days Monday when the Pirates travel to Army West Point for a 7 p.m. contest. Both teams are looking to even their records as, last Friday, The Hall suffered a 2-1, overtime loss at Saint Joseph's and the Black Knights were blanked at home by Albany, 2-0.
Monday's match will stream live on the Patriot League Network.

- Senior Frankie Maier (Oradell, N.J.) scored Seton Hall's first goal of the 2016 season last Friday on an assist from freshman Sarah Schweinberg (Wantage, N.J.). It was Maier's third career goal; her first career goal came against Army West Point on Aug. 30, 2013 in South Orange.
- The two teams last met on Sept. 12, 2014, a 1-0 Pirates overtime victory in West Point.
- This was the third consecutive season that Seton Hall has opened the regular season away from home.Â
- Three of the team's four freshmen made their collegiate debuts last Friday at Saint Joseph's and they all made an impact. Schweinberg tallied the assist on The Hall's lone goal, and Siobhan McGovern (Cranford, N.J.) and Marissa Aniolowski (Enfield, Conn.) each had a shot in the match.
- Sophomore keeper Anna MacLean (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who appeared in 10 matches in goal as a freshman last season, made five saves in her season debut on Friday.
- The Pirates will make their home debut next Monday, Aug. 29 vs. Quinnipiac.
