Pirates Send Four to Winter Nationals

South Orange, N.J. – Seton Hall swimming & diving is sending seniors Sydney Simpson (Tallahassee, Fla.), Noah Yanchulis (Arnold, Md.), Vadim Jacobson (Arnold, Md.) and sophomore Josh Tosoni (Arnold, Md.) to the U.S. Winter Nationals hosted by Ohio State Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
Yanchulis will compete in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle. He owns the second-best 200 free time in the BIG EAST this season, a 1:39.75 recorded at the Patriot Invite. Jacobson will also compete in the 200 and 500 free, and holds the fifth-best 200 free time in the BIG EAST (1:41.60). The 500 will take place on Thursday morning, and the 200 will commence on Friday.
Tosoni is entered in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke and is less than a tenth of a second off the top time in the conference in the 100 and is the BIG EAST leader in the 200 (2:03.04). The 100 takes place on Friday morning and the 200 on Saturday morning.
Simpson has the second-best 100 breast time in the BIG EAST (1:03.25), and will compete in the event on Friday morning.
