Simpson Breaks Own Breastroke Record at Nationals

Columbus, Ohio – Senior Sydney Simpson (Tallahassee, Fla.) broke her own school record with a 1:02.85 in the 100 yard breaststroke on Friday, as the Seton Hall men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed at the USA Winter Nationals hosted by Ohio State.

Senior Noah Yanchulis (Arnold, Md.) made the 'B' final in the 200 free after swimming a 1:37.79 in the preliminaries. In the final he registered a 1:37.87. He also competed in the 500 free, touching the wall in 4:31.74.

Senior Vadim Jacobson (Arnold, Md.) registered a 1:38.90 in the 200 free, while sophomore Josh Tosoni swam a 2:01.04 in the 200 breast final, good for the top time in the BIG EAST this season.

Looking ahead, the Pirates resume competition on Saturday, Jan. 13 against Drexel and Towson in Philadelphia.
