Pirates Add Three Newcomers for 2018

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall head coach Allison Yaeger officially announced on Wednesday the addition of three newcomers who will play women's volleyball at Seton Hall University this fall. Eden Dolezal (La Porte, Ind.), Claire Forrest (Pasadena, Calif.), and Emilee Turner (Kayville, Utah) will all be eligible to play when the Pirates open the 2018 season in Buffalo, N.Y. at the Blue & White Classic on Aug. 24.
One of the nation's top high school liberos, Dolezal was a three-year team captain at Saint Joe High School in South Bend, Indiana. A three-time All-Conference selection, she was named First Team All-State and team Most Valuable Player as a senior. Her 733 digs as a sophomore led the State, and she has helped guide Saint Joe to at least 25 victories in each of the last three years. With over 1,900 career digs, she holds the school record.
A four-year First Team All-League selection, Forrest was both an offensive and defensive force for La Salle High School in Pasadena, Calif. A two-year captain, she collected over 1,000 kills, 800 digs and 700 blocks in her career. As a senior, Forrest was named a USA Volleyball All-American, First Team All-State and Pasadena Now player of the Year. A two-time League Most Valuable Player, she helped guide LaSalle to four straight league titles.
A 6-foot-4 right side, Turner was a two-time All-Region selection and named to the All-State Third Team as a senior for Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah. Named a team captain in 2017, she helped lead Davis to a 20-8 record and the state tournament as a junior. Turner graduated with high honors and notched over 160 kills, 50 digs and 50 blocks in each of the last two seasons.
The Seton Hall women's volleyball team will open its 2018 season on August 24 when it takes on North Dakota State and host Buffalo in New York as part of the Blue & White Classic. The Pirates will wrap up play at the tournament with a match against Niagara on August 25.
