Southard Paces Pirates at Wolfie Invite

Stony Brook, N.Y. – The Seton Hall men's cross country team finished third out of four teams at the 8K Stony Brook Wolfie Cross Country Fall Invitational on Saturday afternoon, led by junior Jesse Southard (Gorham, Maine) who finished sixth overall with a time of 26:02.0.
Senior Jarod Moser (Duncanville, Texas) also placed in the top-10 after completing the course in 26:57.5. Junior Ryan McNeilly (Rutherford, N.J.) ran a 27:47.2 to take 14th place, while newcomers Justin Allone (Holtsville, N.Y.) and Cole Kretlow (Oakland, Calif.) crossed the finish line in 28:30.3 (17th) and 28:34.8 (19th), respectively.
Junior Asa Bloom (Newark, Del.) finished in 29:03.2, freshman Jacob Wozar clocked a 29:04.3, and senior Ricky Stephens (Stony Point, N.Y.) rounded out the Seton Hall top-8 contingent with a time of 30:01.9.
For Southard, it was the second time in as many races this year that he was the first Pirate to cross the finish line.
