Daytona Beach, Fla. – The Seton Hall women's cross country team beat out 12 other competing institutions to take home the team victory at the 5K Embry-Riddle Classic on Saturday. Freshman Emma Newgarden (Staten Island, N.Y.) led Seton Hall and finished fifth overall with a time of 20:00.3.

Sophomore Olivia and Emily Hernandez (New Brunswick, N.J.) finished sixth and seventh, respectively, after crossing the finish line in 20:12.87 and 20:12.94.

Junior Kassi Yocco (Bethlehem, Pa.) placed 10th with a time of 20:24.44, while Kiley Britten (Crystal Lake, Ill.) finished 20th after clocking 20:52.99.

Looking ahead, the Pirates return to action on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Maryland Eastern Shore Cappy Anderson Invitational in Princess Anne, Md.
