PIRATES DROP CONTEST WITH BUTLER
The Pirates fell to Butler on Saturday, 4-0.  The loss dropped The Hall to 2-3-0 in conference play and 5-6-0 overall. The Bulldogs got on the board early with a goal from Joel Harvey in the 15th minute, his second of the season.  Harvey controlled a rebound off Pirate goalkeeper Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy), slid to a stop, and put the ball into the open net to get the Georgetown offense started.
SCOUTING XAVIER
Seton Hall and Xavier will meet for only the seventh time in history on Wednesday. The Musketeers are 5-1 all-time against Seton Hall. Last year, The Hall dropped a heartbreaker in overtime to Xavier by a score of 2-1 on a cold and rainy night on Saturday at Owen T. Carroll Field.  CJ Tibbling (Järna, Sweden) scored in the 38th minute to give the Pirates a 1-0 lead, an advantage they held until the final minutes of regulation. In the 83rd minute, a foul was called in the box during a Xavier free kick which led to an equalizing penalty kick conversion.
Â
In the 97th minute, Xavier was able to find a winner with a lobbed header from Simen Hestnes that snuck over the outstretched arms of an on-rushing Andreas Nota.
Â
This year, Xavier enters Wednesday's contest with a 5-6-1 overall record and a 1-4 mark in BIG EAST play. They are 3-3 at home so far this season. The Musketeers have lost four of their last five matches, but all have been by one goal. Most recently, they fell at No. 13 Georgetown, 1-0, on Saturday. Their lone BIG EAST victory so far this season was a 1-0 win at home against Creighton on Oct. 11.
Â
Entering the season, Xavier was picked to finish fifth in the 10-team BIG EAST Preseason Poll. Senior Samson Sergi was named to the Preseason All-Conference Team.
