Kenosha, Wis. - The Seton Hall men's cross country team will compete in the 2019 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2. Men's race time is set for noon (EST).Â
The 8k race will take place at the Wayne Dannehl National Cross Country Course. This is the third time the BIG EAST has hosted their championship at the site with the previous two races having occurred in 2013 and 2017.
The Pirates will look to Cole Kretlow (Oakland, Calif.) as one of the leading forces for the squad. Kretlow has amassed top-three finishes for the Pirates in five of six meets so far this season. The sophomore has paced the Pirates on two occasions; on Sept. 21 in the Henry Mercer Invitational and, most recently, in the Metropolitan Championship on Oct. 11. Kretlow also earned a third place finish with his best time of the season (23:29.67) in the NYIT Invitational where the Pirates took home first place overall.
Senior Ryan McNeilly (Rutherford, N.J.) talked about the team's preparation and mindset heading into the championships.
The championships will be streamed live by the BIG EAST Digital Network on the BIG EAST Conference YouTube channel, @BIGEAST Twitter feed and on Caffeine TV. Links to these feed can be found here:
Full coverage of the raced begins at 11:55 a.m. (EST) with Matt Schumacker and Piper Shaw on-site.
