SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team will open up BIG EAST play when they take on St. John's on Saturday at Owen T. Carroll Field. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.

The Pirates are coming off their second-consecutive win at home when the Pirates took down Fairleigh Dickinson, 2-0, on Wednesday.

WHAT'S AHEAD
The Pirates will travel to the nation's capital for a matchup with the last season's national champion, Georgetown. It will be the first of two consecutive BIG EAST games on the road for Seton Hall. Game time is set for 2 p.m.

- St. John's is led offensively by Tani Oluwaseyi, the BIG EAST preseason offensive player of the year. The junior has three goals so far this season, including two in the Red Storm's 4-2 win over Stony Brook on Tuesday.
- These two programs have an extensive history together with 41 meetings all-time. Last season, the Pirates took the then-nationally fourth-ranked Red Storm to double overtime at Owen T. Carroll Field with a 1-1 draw.
- After back-to-back shutout victories against La Salle and Fairleigh Dickinson, the Pirates have now help opponents scoreless for 212 consecutive minutes dating back to the season opener against NJIT.
- Junior CJ Tibbling (Jarna, Sweden) has scored in two-of-three games for The Hall this season and is The Hall's leading point-getter with five.
- The Pirates have now come away with back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 2010 when they did so against St Peter's and Pittsburgh.
- Seton Hall has gotten out to fast starts so far this season, outscoring opponents 5-1 in the first half.
