Yaeger leaves Seton Hall after 15 years with the program, ranked second in program history in wins.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall Athletics announced on Wednesday that women's volleyball head coach Allison Yaeger is stepping down to pursue other opportunities. Yaeger had been with the Pirate program for the last 15 years, serving as head coach for the last 10 seasons.
"We appreciate all that Allison has done to foster and elevate our volleyball program for well over a decade," said Director of Athletics Bryan Felt. "We wish her nothing but the best and thank her for her dedication and guidance of our student-athletes."
Yaeger leaves Seton Hall after 144 victories, second-most in Pirates history. She was named BIG EAST Coach of the Year in 2014 after leading the program to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. In her tenure, student-athletes have earned All-BIG EAST honors 17 times and on five occasions a Pirate was named BIG EAST Libero of the Year. Academically, Yaeger's Pirates have received the AVCA Team Academic Award eight times and NCAA APR Public Recognition four times.
"As I look back on my time at Seton Hall, I am very grateful for the opportunities that I was given and the relationships that I have built," Yaeger said. "Seton Hall will always hold a very special place in my heart as well as each and every student-athlete that I had the privilege to coach and watch grow. I have been truly blessed to be able to call Seton Hall and New Jersey my home for the last 15 years. Every player to come through this program has had a role in making me a better coach and appreciate this career. My family and I are sad to be departing, but will always have fond memories as Pirates."
A national search for Yaeger's replacement is underway.
