SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's basketball team set a program and BIG EAST Conference single-game record with 19 made three-pointers in a 91-62 rout of Georgetown in Walsh Gym on Wednesday, which snapped a three-game losing streak.
Â
The Pirates got huge efforts from three of their stars with Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) leading the way. The graduate student tied her season high with a game-best 25 points on the strength of 7-for-9 shooting from three-point range. Junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) notched her third career double-double with 20 points and a game-high 10 assists, while Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) notched a season-high 17 points, fueled by five made three-pointers.
Â
In all, the Pirates were 19-for-31 (.613) from three-point range to set the program record by two.
Â
Seton Hall led for the vast majority of the contest, and pulled away with a game-defining 19-4 run in the second quarter.
Â
The Story:
Seton Hall began the game on fire from long-range, draining four of their first five shots from three-point range to grab an early 12-9 lead. The Pirates maintained a solid advantage throughout the opening quarter, leading 23-17 after one. Espinoza-Hunter scored 13 points in the first 10 minutes going a perfect 5-for-5 from the field.
Â
The Pirates took firm control of the game in the second quarter. Already leading 29-21, The Hall went on a game-changing 19-4 run, fueled by four made three-pointers, including three by Jackson, to take a commanding 48-25 advantage with 3:43 to go before halftime. Seton Hall took a 53-32 lead into the break after shooting 58.8% from the floor and going 12-for-19 from three-point range in the first half.
Â
Seton Hall started the second half cold from the field, going without a field goal for the first 4:25. The Hoyas couldn't take advantage though as consecutive scores by Sidney Cooks (Kenosha, Wis.) and Park-Lane boosted the Pirates' lead back to 58-38 with 4:33 left in the third. Georgetown cut its deficit to 14 points late in the quarter, but a three-pointer by Jackson with three seconds before the buzzer boosted The Hall's lead to 69-52.Â

Seton Hall will return to action on Friday, February 4 when it returns to the road for a contest in Cincinnati at Xavier. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. The contest will be streamed live by the BIG EAST Digital Network and available for FloSports subscribers.
