Loeffel, Pirates Take Fifth at Embry-Riddle

Daytona Beach, Fla. – The Seton Hall men's cross country team took fifth place out of 16 teams at the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic on Saturday morning.
John Loeffel (Queens, N.Y.) was the top Pirate finisher, crossing the line in fifth place overall with a time of 27:00.66. This was Loeffel's first top-five overall finish since recording a second place finish at the NYIT Cross Country Invitational on Sep. 14, 2019.
Declan Harkness (Stewartsville, N.J.) finished second on the Pirates, coming in 28th overall with a time of 28:17.05. Nicholas Minikel (Milltown, N.J.), Logan Brunozzi (Churchville, Pa.) and Stephen Beaman (Johnston, Iowa) rounded out the top-five Pirate finishers. Also finishing for Seton Hall were James Loeffel (Queens, N.Y.), Justin Allone (Holtsville, N.Y.), Patrick Wagner (Jenkintown, Pa.), Daniel Washburn (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Peter Smutelovic.
Up next, the Pirates will travel to Princess Anne, Md. to take part in the Maryland Eastern Shore Farm Run next Saturday.
