
Lally, Shah Highlight Pirates on Day 2 at Bryson Invite

DANIEL ISLAND, S.C. – Senior David Lally (Wicklow, Ireland) shot a 4-under-par, 68, and junior Eli Shah (Newtown Square, Pa.) fired a 3-under-par, 69, to power the Seton Hall men's golf team in round two at The Bryson Invitational on Tuesday.

Lally had five birdies and only one bogey to race up the individual leader board on Tuesday. His 4-under-par, 68, today, matches Will Hennessee's first round score for the top Seton Hall round for the tournament. Currently, Lally is tied for 37th place at even-par for the tournament with a 76-68-144.

Shah had four birdies and an eagle on the par-5, No. 3 hole to fuel his 3-under-par, 69, in round two. For the tournament, he's Seton Hall's top individual and tied for 17th place with a 3-under-par, 72-69-141. Cincinnati's Ryan Ford is currently the individual leader at 9-under-par with 18 holes remaining.

As a team, the Pirates were two strokes better on Tuesday despite dropping four spots in the standings. The Hall fired an impressive 3-under-par, 285, to remain one of 12 teams that are under par for the tournament. With Wednesday's final round looming, the Pirates are in 11th place at 4-under-par with a 287-285-572. Vanderbilt is currently the team leader at 18-under-par.

After a spectacular opening round yesterday, sophomore Will Hennessee (Tulsa, Okla.) shot a 3-over-par, 75, in round two. He's still under par for the tournament and tied for 24th place at 1-under-par with a 68-75-143.

Jack Bosworth (Daniel Island, S.C.) was only two strokes worse on Tuesday, using three birdies to fuel a 1-over-par, 73. He's currently tied with Lally for 37th place at even-par for the tournament with a 71-73-144.

For a second straight day, sophomore Luke Nolan (Austin, Texas) had three birdies in route to a 5-over-par, 77. He's currently 10-over-par with a 77-77-154.

Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

The teams will play 18 holes per day, Monday through Wednesday. Seton Hall will be paired with golfers from Wofford and Cincinnati in round one with Bosworth teeing off first at 9:30 a.m.
