Kate Kleinsmith Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Freshman goalkeeper Kate Kleinsmith (Monument, Colo.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Kleinsmith made her first two career starts this past week for Seton Hall, recording nine saves and posting a shutout in draws at Wagner and Lehigh. The freshman's best performance came on Staten Island on Thursday night, stopping six shots and earning the shutout in her collegiate debut against the Seahawks. Kleinsmith followed that up with a three-save performance at Lehigh on Sunday afternoon.
Kleinsmith and the Pirates kick off BIG EAST play this Saturday as they travel to face Villanova at 4 p.m.
