Seton Hall will be back in action on Sunday, February 1 when it returns to historic Walsh Gymnasium to host BIG EAST rival Creighton. Tip time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET.Â

Mariana Valenzuela (Mazatlan, Mexico) had a game-high 19 points as the Seton Hall women's basketball team rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to outlast Georgetown, 58-52, on Thursday.

Seton Hall trailed entering the third quarter, but held the Hoyas scoreless for the first 6:12 of the fourth to grab the lead for good. The Pirates improve to 9-3 in the BIG EAST and claim their fourth conference road victory of the season. Today's victory is a quad two win for The Hall.

Valenzuela had 19 points on the strength of 3-for-6 from three-point range with four rebounds. Junior Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) finished with 17 points, four rebounds and three steals She was also 9-for-10 from the free-throw line. Sophomore Ja'Kahla Craft (Elk River, Minn.) gave The Hall a huge boost off the bench, finishing with eight points, three rebounds and two steals in a career-high 26 minutes.

AGAINST CREIGHTON
Seton Hall and Creighton will meet for the second time this season with the Pirates looking for their first season sweep in the series since the 2015-16 season. The Bluejays have a 23-7 all-time series lead, but earlier this year, The Hall snapped a nine-game losing streak against them. These teams have played each other the last five years in a row in the BIG EAST Tournament.

Mariana Valenzuela (Mazatlan, Mexico) and Shailyn Pinkney (East Hartford, Conn.) both topped 20 points as the Pirates held off Creighton, 88-79, on Dec. 22 for its first victory in Omaha in in 10 years.

Seton Hall used a 20-0 first-quarter run to take a large lead and never relinquished it. The Pirates, however, did have to hold on late as a 13-0 Creighton run cut The Hall's lead to just five points with under a minute left. The Pirates shot a season-high 56.1 percent from the floor for the game.

Valenzuela was dominant early, scoring a team-high 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting, including 4-for-5 from three-point range. She also grabbed six rebounds. Pinkney shattered her career-high with 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting to go with four rebounds.Â

Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.) had 18 points to go with six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Jordana Codio (Winter Garden, Fla.) added 14 points, including six in the fourth quarter.

SCOUTING CREIGHTON
Creighton enters Sunday's contest with a 9-12 overall record and a 5-7 mark in BIG EAST play. Since last playing The Hall in Omaha, the Bluejays have won three of their nine games with victories over Butler, Xavier, and most recently, St. John's. Creighton throttled the Red Storm, 81-51, on Wednesday. The Bluejays get scoring up and down their roster with seven players averaging at least 7.2 points per game. Freshman Ava Zediker currently leads the team with 13.6 points per game. Grace Boffeli is averaging 8.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per contest.
