SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – After collecting a home draw against Sacred Heart, the Seton Hall men's soccer team (3-2-5, 1-0-1 BIG EAST) will play host to No. 18 Xavier (8-0-2, 2-0-1 BIG EAST) in a crucial BIG EAST match at Owen T. Carroll Field on Saturday, October 10.

Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT

After drawing the Butler Bulldogs on the road, the Seton Hall men's soccer team returned home to Owen T. Carroll Field to play host to Sacred Heart in the Battle for SHU-premacy.
The Pirates found an early lead in the 30th minute when a two-on-two breakaway led to a Hannes Ottosson goal, making it a 1-0 game. Unfortunately, a late penalty kick conversion by Sacred Heart in the dying moments of the first half equalized the match heading into the break. Despite chances in the second half, the Pirates could not convert any of them, ending the match in a 1-1 draw as the final whistle sounded.

SERIES HISTORY

The Pirates are 2-7-1 all-time against the Musketeers, with the first match between the two programs coming in 2013.
The two sides met last season in Cincinnati on October 26, 2024. The two sides shared a tight, physical affair, but a Til Kauschke PK goal towards the end of the first half proved to be the difference, securing Seton Hall a 1-0 win and a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament.
