Serafin Rallies Men's Soccer Past California, 2-1

California (2-7) led 1-0 at halftime after senior forward Kendall Simmons headed in a corner kick by Ramiro Arredondo at 19:26.
Seton Hall (5-5) tied the game at 70:10 when senior midfielder Arda Altincatal (Bogota, NJ) took a pass over the middle from junior forward Greg Strohmann (Wehrheim, Germany) and beat Golden Bear goalkeeper Brian Walker to the right side.
California had an opportunity to regain the lead, but a shot by Juan Luis Romero hit the left post in the 84th minute.
The Pirates claimed their first lead when Altincatal fed Serafin for the game-winning goal at 89:10. The goal was Serafin's first of the season.
Seton Hall, which held a 14-11 advantage in shots, received five saves from sophomore goalkeeper Alex McDonald (Seven Valleys, PA). Brian Walker had five saves for California.
The Pirates return to action on Saturday, October 7 when they host Syracuse University in a BIG EAST game beginning at 1 p.m.
