Men's Soccer Opens BIG EAST Play at Pittsburgh

The Pirates, the number-five seed in the Tournament, will play fourth-seeded Pittsburgh on November 5 at 1 p.m. at Quaker Valley High School. The semifinals and championship game will be held at Rutgers University on Friday and Sunday, November 10 and 12.
Seton Hall concluded the regular season with an overall record of 11-6 and a 6-5 mark in BIG EAST play. The Pirates won seven of their final eight games. Pittsburgh enters the tournament with a 13-4 overall record and a 7-4 record in league play.
Pittsburgh defeated Seton Hall, 4-3, during the regular season in a game played at Quaker Valley High School on September 24. The Panthers trailed 3-2 at halftime, but Miles Dowiak (60:04) and Chad Porter (60:16) scored goals in a span of 12 seconds in the second half.
The highest scoring team in the BIG EAST, Seton Hall has scored 42 goals in 17 games. The Pirates have averaged 3.1 goals per game over the last eight games.
