The draft for the ten-team indoor soccer league consisted of a territorial pick for each team plus four rounds. Philadelphia selected Cuddy with its territorial pick. The KiXX then selected Louie Karko (UMBC), Adam Maurer (St. John's), Ryan Trout (Virginia) and Joe Noonan (Villanova).
A First Team All-BIG EAST selection this past season, Cuddy started all 20 games for the Seton Hall men's soccer team (13-7). He scored five goals and added a league-leading 10 assists for 20 points. Cuddy finished his career as the Pirates' co-leader with 34 assists. He tied Peter Matischak's all-time assist mark when he assisted on the game-winning goal in the Pirates' 3-2 overtime win over Connecticut in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament. Cuddy also scored 14 goals with 62 points in 67 games over his four-year career.
"Our goal in today's draft was to draft players with good speed who can pick up the indoor game quickly," said KiXX head coach Omid Namazi. "Cuddy is a crafty player on the ball who brings a lot of quickness."
The KiXX are currently 10-3 and own the NPSL's top winning percentage (.769). The team has matched a franchise record with seven wins in a row and is off to its best start in franchise history.
Other teams in the NPSL are the Baltimore Blast, Harrisburg Heat, Buffalo Blizzard, Cleveland Crunch, Toronto Thunderhawks, Wichita Wings, Milwaukee Wave, Kansas City Attack and Detroit Rockers.
