Strohmann, a junior forward, was named to the Fall-Winter At-Large Third Team, which encompasses all fall and winter sports with the exception of football and basketball. He is the first Seton Hall soccer player to earn Academic All-America honors since 1989 when Pat O'Kelly became the first Academic All-American in the history of the program.
Strohmann is also the first Seton Hall student-athlete to be named an Academic All-American since 1997 when volleyball player Jennifer Cheshire was a Second Team selection.
The Pirates' leading scorer this past season, Strohmann had 14 goals and 5 assists for 33 points. He led the BIG EAST in points per game (1.65) while finishing second overall in both goals and points. Strohmann was a First Team All-NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region selection and a Second Team All-BIG EAST choice.
The leading scorer in the 2000 BIG EAST Tournament with four goals and three games, Strohmann led Seton Hall to its first berth in the conference championship game since 1992. The Pirates finished the season with a 13-7 record, the most wins for the program since 1991 (14-4-3).
