Men's Soccer National Team of the Week

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Sophomore Justin McGrath of the Seton Hall men's soccer team earned a spot on the College Soccer News' "Team of the Week" following his two-goal performance against West Virginia last weekend. The 3-1 win over WVU helped SHU move into first place in the BIG EAST's Blue Division.

McGrath sparked Seton Hall's win over West Virginia with two goals in the convincing 3-1 win. He got SHU on the board in the fifth minute with a volley from the left wing for a quick 1-0 win. After the Mountaineers tied the game, he scored the eventual game-winner in the 54th minute after scoring inside the penalty area. McGrath also helped the Pirates to a 3-0 win over Penn on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Seton Hall sits atop the BIG EAST's Blue Division with 14 points and a 4-2-2 record. The Pirates have an important match on Saturday, Oct. 22, with Connecticut, currently second in the division with 13 points (4-2-1). SHU re-entered the rankings last week at 24th in Soccer America and are sure to move up the polls with a 9-2-2 overall record.

Seton Hall returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 18, with a 3:00 p.m. match against Princeton at Owen T. Carroll Field.
