Four Men's Soccer Athletes Named to All-Region Team

Senior Boris Pardo was among four Pirates named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region teams.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Four Seton Hall men’s soccer players were named to the adidas/National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic Region All-American Teams. Junior Sacha Kljestan (Huntington Beach, Calif.) earned first team honors, while senior Boris Pardo (Hillside, N.J.), junior Teddy Niziolek (Clifton, N.J.) and freshman Eliseo Giusfredi (Paterson, N.J.) earned third team recognition.

Kljestan, the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, led the Pirates and set career-highs with 33 points on nine goals and a school-record 15 assists. He earned All-America honors for the second time, having been named to the NSCAA/adidas All-America Third Team after leading SHU to the NCAA Tournament Second Round.

Pardo capped a solid career at Seton Hall by anchoring a defense that posted five shutouts. Pardo was named the Preseason BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year and posted an 8-3-1 mark with three shutouts. He finished his career with 16 career shutouts, a school-record.

Niziolek, who also earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors, helped lead an attack that ranked fourth in the NCAA with 2.55 goals-per-game. In his first full season as a midfielder, Niziolek set career-highs with two goals, five assists and nine points

Giusfredi was one of the top freshman forwards in the country and led the Pirates with 11 goals. He added three assists for a total of 25 points to earn All-BIG EAST Second Team honors. His presence helped Seton Hall lead the BIG EAST in scoring with 51 goals.
