PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall sophomore outfielder Jenna Best (Medford, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Softball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday based on her performance for the week of April 10-16. Best hit .444 with 10 RBI to lead the Pirates to a 5-1 record.
Best connected on two home runs, hit two doubles, stole two bases and scored seven times. She walked four times and had an on-base percentage of .545.
In an 11-5 win over LIU on Apr. 11, Best went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI, adding a double and a home run. In a doubleheader sweep against Iona on Apr. 13, she went 2-for-3 with two RBI in each game, including a homer in game one. She added an RBI in each game of a split with St. John's on Saturday.
Best is hitting .303 this season with four homers and 29 runs batted in.
