Men's Soccer Brings In 18th-Ranked Recruiting Class

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. The Seton Hall men’s soccer program will welcome College Soccer News’ 18^th-ranked recruiting class to campus this fall, highlighted by a pair of NSCAA/adidas High School All-Americans.  The Pirates make their regular season debut on Aug. 31 with a home match against Stony Brook.

Described as a “very strong” class that “should have the Seton Hall faithful buzzing,” the freshmen will add a tremendous amount of talent and depth to the roster.  Leading the way is Gatorade National Boys Player of the Year Brayan Martinez (West Orange, N.J.) of West Orange High School.  A two-time All-American midfielder, Martinez tallied 85 goals and 90 assists over his final three seasons of high school soccer. 

Also joining the fray is All-American Hayden Morris (Armork, N.Y.) of Byram Hills High School.  Morris, a midfielder, had 10 goals and 25 assists as senior, while also playing for the New York and Region I ODP teams.

Duke hauled in the number one recruiting class, according to College Soccer News.  Indiana, Virginia, SMU, and Akron rounded out the top five.

Seton Hall was picked to finish fifth in its division the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
