
Men's Soccer Falls at Cincinnati, 4-0

CINCINNATI, OHIO - The Seton Hall men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss at Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon, its second straight shutout loss. The Pirates (3-5-0, 0-2-0) are back on the field Friday when they host Villanova at 7:00 p.m.
The Bearcats (3-4-0, 2-0-0) began the scoring in the 27th minute when Patrick Baxter scored in the box after Lionel Jackson's throw-in was headed by Brad Simpson. Cincinnati carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.
In the 50th minute, Kenny Anaba beat SHU keeper Sean Carr (Glendora, N.J.) on an assist from Luke Henke to make it 2-0. Less than three minutes later, Baxter struck again from just outside the box after a lob pass over the defense. In the 67th minute, Amir Ikner headed in a corner to make it 4-0.
Carr made seven saves in net for the Pirates in his first collegiate start. Miguel Rosales earned the win for Cincinnati with five saves.
Junior Eliseo Giusfredi (Paterson, N.J.) had a game-high six shots. Freshman Dritan Sela (Wayne, N.J.) had four shots. Cincinnati held an 18-16 edge in attempts and a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
