SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. The Seton Hall men’s soccer team is ranked ninth in the Northeast Region in the first poll of 2007 released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Pirates are off to an impressive 2-0 start with wins over Stony Brook and Penn.
The BIG EAST is well represented in the poll, comprising more than half of the 10 teams. Connecticut sits atop the rankings with a 2-0-0 record thus far. West Virginia checks in at No. 2, Syracuse is No. 4, South Florida is No. 6, and St. John’s is No. 8.
Seton Hall will take on the No. 4 Orange this Friday in Oneonta, N.Y. as part of the Mayor’s Cup Tournament hosted by Hartwick College.
