Seton Hall Announces 2008 Men's Soccer Schedule

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's soccer program has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2008 season beginning this fall.  The Pirates will open the new year on August 29 with a home match against Monmouth University, kicking off the 80th season of Hall soccer.

SHU will participate in the 2008 Virginia Commonwealth University Tournament, where it will take on Richmond on September 5 and host school VCU on September 7.  A week later, the Pirates will take on Pennsylvania and Princeton at the Princeton University Tournament.  BIG EAST play commences on September 19 when the Hall hosts DePaul.

Seton Hall will also welcome USF, Notre Dame, Providence, and Pittsburgh to Owen T. Carroll Field in conference matches, while traveling to Villanova, Rutgers, Georgetown, Marquette, and West Virginia..

Matches against St. Peter’s and St. John’s round out the non-conference slate.

The first two rounds of the BIG EAST Championship will be held on the home field of the higher seed, while the semifinals and title game will be played at USF.
