SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's soccer program will welcome two freshmen and two transfers to the team in the 2008 season. Bradley Kerstetter (Halifax, Pa.) and Michael Kuzan (Union, N.J.) will join the Pirates from the high school ranks, while Samuel Petrone (Glen Rock, N.J./Clemson) and Jerry Saintil (East Orange, N.J./Kean) will enter the Hall as sophomores.
Kerstetter, a 5’11”. 160-pound midfielder, was a four-year letter winner at Halifax and led his team to back-to-back league titles. He was named the Tri-Valley League MVP as a junior and senior and was a three-time All-League selection. Kerstter, who was also a two-time PSCA All-State Team choice, plays club soccer for Supernova F.C.
Kuzan, a 6’0”, 170-pound goalkeeper, lettered four times at Union and was a three-time Soccer Coaches Association of New Jersey All-State selection. In each of his final three seasons, Kuzan was First Team All-Watchung Conference and First Team All-Union County. He is a member of PDA Cruyff club soccer team that recently won the US Youth Soccer Region I Premier League championship and the New Jersey Youth Soccer U-17 State Cup.
Petrone, a 5’6”, 175-pound forward, played in six matches for Clemson in 2007, making two starts. He is the all-time leading goal scorer at Glen Rock High School with 86 tallies, and was an All-Region Team selection. Petrone has been a member of the New Jersey IDP State Team, the Region I ODP Team, and the Arsenal World Class club team.
Saintil, a 6’0”, 170-pound midfielder, started 10 of his 15 appearances for Kean in 2007, totaling eight points on three goals and two assists. He earned Honorable Mention All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors as a freshman.
