Men's Soccer Alum Sacha Kljestan Named To MLS All-Star First XI Team

TORONTO, Canada Former Seton Hall men’s soccer standout and current Chivas USA midfielder Sacha Kljestan and has been named to the MLS All-Star First XI team for the first time in his three-year career.  The MLS All-Stars will take on West Ham United of the English Premier League in the 2008 Pepsi MLS All-Star Game on Thursday, July 24 at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada.  The game will be televised live on ESPN, Telefutura, and CBC Sports at 7:00 p.m.

Kljestan earned the nod by finishing fourth in the voting by the fans, players, media, and coaches/general managers at the midfield position.  He leads Chivas USA in goals with five and assists with three.

The 22-year old Kljestan is a member of the United States U-23 team that will compete in the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing, China.  He has also made seven appearances for the U.S. Men’s National Team.
