PROVIDENCE, R.I. Junior Seton Hall goalkeeper Paul McHenry (Ephrata, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced today by the conference office. McHenry posted a shutout victory in the Pirates’ season-opening win over Monmouth on Friday night.
McHenry made six saves to guide SHU in its win over the Hawks, which went into overtime. It was the fourth shutout of his career.
Adam Himeno and Neal Kitson of St. John’s were named the Offensive Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively. Len Coleman of Georgetown was named Defensive Player of the Week, while Chris Bresnahan of Villanova earned the Rookie of the Week Award.
Joining McHenry on the Honor Roll are Peter Grasso of Georgetown, Yohance Marshall of USF, Tom Perevegyencev of Syracuse and O’Brian White of Connecticut.
