Forsyth took a perfect game into the fifth inning, but Julia Culotta led-off with an infield single. UMBC notched two more seeing-eye singles to load the bases with two outs. Forsyth got out of the jam by getting a fly out to centerfield.

The Pirates extended the lead in the seventh with a sac fly from Kristen Kaelin (
Junior Ashley Forsyth (Freehold, N.J.) threw another superb game, and improved to 2-4 on the season. Forsyth went the whole way, allowing six hits and striking out seven. She took a perfect-game into the fifth inning.
An all-tournament team will be announced on Monday and will be posted on SHUPirates.com after the team is chosen.
