
Women's Swimming And Diving Signs Three To NLI's

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - In the middle of his 10th season as head coach of the women's swimming and diving team, Ron Farina and his staff have announced the signing of three recruits for the 2010-11 season.
Kerrie Kolachovsky, from Franklin Square, N.Y., is an incredibly versatile swimmer, however will mainly be used in the breaststroke and distance freestyle events. The younger sister of former Pirate Jessica Kolachovsky (2003-07), Kerrie attended H. Frank Carey High School where she was a senior captain and team MVP, as well as the three-time Nassau County Champion in the 100-yard breaststroke. Kolachovsky is also the team captain of the Sewanhaka Central District Swim Team.
Katherine Dwyer, from Freehold, N.J., attends Freehold Township High School where she is the captain of the swim team. She is mainly a mid-distance freestyle swimmer as Farina and his staff anticipate using her in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle events, however she can also participate in the sprint butterfly events as well.
Katie Riley, is a diver from Newburgh, N.Y., attends Our Lady Lourdes High School where she is the current record holder in the 1-meter diving event. Riley qualified for the N.Y. State Championship on the 1-meter board in 2008 and qualified for the AAU Nationals on the 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform in 2008 and 2009. She was named to the Poughkeepsie Journal All-Star First Team in 2009-10.
