Hayden Morris Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior defender Hayden Morris (Armonk, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Men's Soccer Honor Roll on Oct. 4 after helping the Pirates go 2-0 last week.
Morris anchored the Seton Hall defense to a pair of shutouts on the week, a 1-0 win over St. Peter’s and a 4-0 triumph over Pittsburgh. Morris played the full 90-minutes in both matches and was solid in the backfield, limiting the Pirates’ opponents scoring opportunities and was solid helping the team’s ball-control offense that was so successful in the victories.
Louisville freshman Dylan Mares was tabbed BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while USF senior Javed Mohammed earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors. Marquette sophomore David Check was selected as BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the week for the second-straight week and Cincinnati’s Alex Hadley was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week.
The Pirates return to action October 5 at Princeton at 7:00 p.m.
