Kristen Kaelin Named to BIG EAST Softball Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Sophomore first baseman Kristen Kaelin (Parlin, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after hitting .500 (7-for-14) with seven RBI and an .857 slugging percentage in five games last week.
Kaelin came up with a clutch double in the season opener against Boston University to tie the score in the third inning of the contest. She followed up with a 2-for-3 performance against Charlotte, including another RBI single that tied the game in the first inning. Kaelin closed the tournament with her first dinger of the season, and went 2-for-3.
Notre Dame's Heather Johnson earned Player of the Week Honors, while DePaul's Becca Heteniak was crowned Pitcher of the Week by the conference.
