THE "LOEW-DOWN"
Sophomore Nicole Loewenstein has been the Pirates best hitter over the last five games, going 7-for-13 (.538) with two homers and six RBI. The catcher went 3-for-3 in the first game against Sacred Heart and currently has a four-game hit streak.
NON-CONFERENCE, NO PROBLEM
The SHU pitching staff has been spectacular in the past four non-conference games with an ERA of 1.04 and 25 strikeouts.
HOME SWEET HOME
Seton Hall began its sixth season at Ivy Hill Park with a sweep of Central Conn. State. The Pirates are now 9-3 in their opening double-headers and a perfect 6-0 in the first game of the series.
TULL-OF-A DAY
After missing the first 12 games of the season with an ankle injury, freshman Brooke Tull made her collegiate debut at Fordham. In just her third and fourth games of the season, she recorded a pair of two RBI games against Central Conn. State.
OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION
After ending a 15-inning scoreless streak, SHU put on a clinic in the first inning of game two against CCSU, sending 16 batters to the plate and scoring 10 runs en route to a 15-0 victory.
