Kristen Kaelin Named To NFCA All-Region Second Team

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Sophomore Kristen Kaelin (Parlin, N.J.) was named to the NFCA All-Mideast Region Second Team on Thursday. For the season, Kaelin batted .291 with a five home runs and a team-high 27 RBI. She was also named Seton Hall's Female Sophomore Athlete of the Year on May 6.
Kaelin was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on March 1, and delivered her biggest hit of the season on April 18 when she notched a go-ahead two-run double to defeat Georgetown.
She is the first Pirate softball player to earn All-Region honors since 2006 when Jenna Best and Katie Pierce were selected to the first team.
