
Women's Swimming & Diving Defeated By Connecticut, 187-108

STORRS, CONN. - The Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team fell to Connecticut, 187-108, Saturday afternoon at Connecticut.
Kerrie Kolackovsky (Franklin Square, N.Y.) and Rose Virgilio (Bloomingburg, N.Y.) recorded the only first place scores for the Hall on the afternoon.
Kolackovsky recorded her top time in the 200-yard breaststroke while adding second place scores in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 500-yard freestyle. The junior from Bloomingburg earned her finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
Sophomore Andrea Shuba (Pittsburgh, Pa.) swam well as she claimed a second place finish in the 200-yard backstroke and a third place finish in the 100-yard backstroke. Classmate Brenna O'Keefe (Hyde Park, N.Y.) finished third in the 1,000-yard freestyle and fourth in the 200-yard butterfly.
Newcomer Jane Ehret (Florida, N.Y.) finished second in the 200-yard butterfly with Kelly Markwell (Old Bridge, N.J.) following her in third.
On the diving boards, Brittany Hervey (Bethpage, N.Y.) earned a second place score in the 1-meter event.
The Pirates return to action when they host Marist Saturday afternoon. Prior to the meet, Seton Hall will honor their two seniors. Meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
