USF Rips Softball, 17-0

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - A pair of three-run homeruns by Stephanie Medina guided USF to a 17-0 win against the Seton Hall softball team on Sunday. The Pirates drop to 13-26 overall and 1-13 in BIG EAST play.
Medina blasted her first long ball of the day in the first inning and the Bulls (29-16, 9-1) already led 4-0 heading into the third. USF took advantage of three SHU errors in that frame, sending 11 batters to the dish and Medina put the game well out of reach with her second dinger of the day.
Sara Nevins allowed just a leadoff infield single to Michelle Reed (Wrightstown, N.J.) in the top of the first inning and completed the game with seven strikeouts to move to 12-5 on the year. Sophomore Hannah Hill (Fryeburg, Maine) took the loss for SHU.
The Pirates will host LIU for a single game on Tuesday, April 19, at 3:30 p.m.
