Head coach Ray Vander May has his 400th career victory in sight. Now in his 15th year, Vander May is just one wins shy of reaching the milestone.
DRAMA QUEENS
The Pirates have had to score in the fifth inning or later in six of their last seven wins. SHU has come from behind on 10 different occasions in those contests.
KLEPTOMANIACS
Senior Michelle Reed is just four stolen bases shy of breaking Seton Hall's career record. She is currently second in the record book with 62 steals. Teammate Nalin Bennett is now seventh on the all-time list with 33 swipes.
LET'S TURN TWO
Seton Hall ranks 13th in the nation in turning double-plays through games played on April 19 The Pirates are averaging 0.44 DP's per game. Southern Utah ranks first at 0.73.
100-HIT CLUB
Junior Kristen Kaelin became the second player to join the 100-hit club this season after a double in the fourth inning of SHU's second game against USF. Senior Nalin Bennett's 100th career hit was a big one, hitting a two-run triple that put SHU on top in the third inning of a win over Robert Morris. The Pirates now have three 100-hit club members in Bennett, Michelle Reed and Brittany Schillizzi.
SCHILLIZZI & BENNETT TOP DAWGS
Seniors Brittany Schillizzi and Nalin Bennett were named to the All-Tournament Team at the UBMC Dawg Pound Classic. Schillizzi hit .545 (6-for-11) with a homer at four RBI, while Bennett batted .467 with four runs scored and two RBI in four games.
PIRATES GO AS SCHILLIZZI GOES
SHU is 27-9-1 when Brittany Schillizzi drives in at least one run dating back to the start of the 2009 season. This year, they are 4-2 when the second baseman has an RBI.
MEET THE METZ
Pitcher Jen Metzger became the third freshman to win her first collegiate start in the Ray Vander May era. Casey McDevitt won her first career start, a 4-0 win over Princeton in 2001 and Maura Lund was victorious against Hofstra in 2005.
BEST START IN SEVEN YEARS
Seton Hall started the season 3-1 for the first time since its 2004. That year the Pirates started 7-1 en route to its first of back-to-back BIG EAST Championships.
CAPTAINS OF THE SHIP
For the second straight year, senior outfielder Michelle Reed and senior second baseman Brittany Schillizzi are co-captains.
PIRATES INK SIX RECRUITS FOR 2012
The Pirates have signed six players to NLI's for the 2012 season. The class includes outfielder Sam Demasi (Lockport, Ill.), pitcher Danielle Destaso (Congers, N.Y.), outfielder Whitney Jones (Skowhegan, Maine), pitcher Casey Moses (Lower Burrell, Pa.), first baseman Jordan Moses (Lower Burrell, Pa.), and catcher Kaylyn Sanbower (Lewisberry, Pa.).

SHU PICKED 12TH IN PRESEASON POLL
Seton Hall was picked to finish 12th in by the BIG EAST coaches in the preseason poll. Notre Dame was selected as the favorite, followed by DePaul and Louisville. Reigning BIG EAST Champion Syracuse was tabbed fourth.
