
Men's Soccer Adds Six Recruits for 2011

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's soccer program has signed Bolu Akinyode (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Damian Bziukiewicz (East Rutherford, N.J.), Cody Hess (Bernville, Pa.), Anthony LoManto (Massepequa Park, N.Y.), Konrad Plewa (Wallington, N.J.), and Jason Wellington (West Palm Beach, Fla.) to national letters of intent for the upcoming 2011 season.
Akinyode has captained the Red Bull U16 Academy team and was rated as the #13 recruit in New Jersey by TopDrawerSoccer.com. Before moving to the U.S., he played for the U14 Nigerian national team and was selected to the Super-Y ODP National Camp.
Bkiukiewicz is a local product from East Rutherford's Becton High School and has been a part of the Red Bulls Academy since he was 14. He was named captain of the squad as he progressed to the U16 club.
Hess is a forward that was named a NSCAA High School All-American out of Tulpehocken High School in Pennsylvania. He took his team to the Berks County III Championship game last season and was named the County's Player of the Year in 2010. The All-State team member scored 17 goals and added nine assists in final high school season.
LoManto scored 13 goals and had seven assists during his final season at St. Anthony's in Huntington, N.Y. The midfielder was named co-MVP of the Nassau Suffolk CHSAA and was mentioned as one of the top players in the state by ESPN RISE.
Plewa was also named on the ESPN RISE list for top prospects in New Jersey. The forward led Wallington High School to its first state championship and a No. 15 ranking in the state. Plewa had 31 goals and 31 assists in his senior season en route to being named First-Team All-State by the Star-Ledger.
Wellington, a defender out of the American Heritage School of Boca, Fla. won a 2A State Championship and was an All-County Honorable Mention selection. He has played for Weston FC Academy in the US Soccer Developmental Academy since 2009.
