SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall softball head coach Paige Smith has hired Betsy White and Lindsey Curran to round out her coaching staff for the upcoming season. White will serve as the Pirates pitching coach, while Curran while mentor SHU's outfielders.
Both will be responsible for assisting with team travel arrangements, recruiting, organization of team practice, and be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the program.
White spent the past two seasons with Smith at Adelphi, where her pitching staff boasted a 2.63 ERA and limited batters to a .239 batting average while helping Adelphi reach the NCAA Division II Regionals in 2011. She also boasts head coaching experience from her time at Elba High School in Elba, Alabama in 2008. Curran is a 2012 graduate of Rutgers where she was a four-time letterwinner, and served as the Scarlet Knights starting centerfielder as a senior. She completed her career with a solid season, batting .280 with six homers, 17 RBI, and tied for the team lead with 16 stolen bases. Curran also gained valuable experience working at Rutgers hitting and fielding camps under current head coach and former Pirate assistant coach Jay Nelson.

Klapsogeorge and Esperon each received Masters of Science in Athletic Training at Seton Hall in 2012, and have been working the Pirates' athletes the past three seasons.
