SHU Softball Hosts Day Camps in June

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall University softball program will host a pair of day camps, the first on Tuesday, June 24 and another on Sunday, June 29, at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field. The camps, which are open to players age 8-18, will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day.
Cost for attending each camp will be $175 for all registrants who sign up before Saturday, May 24, with the fee increasing to $200 for all registrations after that date.
Camp participants will receive instruction from Seton Hall head softball coach Paige Smith and Seton Hall's entire BIG EAST coaching staff, and will be grouped by age and experience level.
The topics and skills covered will include:
- Proper hitting techniques
- Fielding mechanics and position specific throwing
- Base-running secrets
- Catching mechanics
- Pitching techniques to maximize velocity and accuracy
During lunch campers will be given the opportunity to learn more about the Seton Hall softball program and all that it has to offer.
