Records Fall at Patriot Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Seton Hall women's swimming team set two school records and finished fourth out of nine teams this weekend at the Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason. Freshman Sara Ouellette (Granby, Conn.) swam a record 2:00.87 in the 200-yard backstroke, and freshman Clara Capone (West Hartford, Conn.), senior Tessa Lindner (Sun Prairie, Wisc.), freshman Jordan Decker (Mason, Ohio) and sophomore Courtney McCardle (Hurley, N.Y.) swam a record 3:28.54 in the 400 free relay.
The Pirates picked up a victory from Decker in the 100 individual medley after she swam a school-record 59.03.
Lindner also placed fourth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.48, while Capone took fifth in the 50 free after touching in 23.76.
Looking ahead, the Pirates compete in the U.S. Winter Nationals on Dec. 1-3 in Atlanta.
