RESULTS

Bronx, N.Y. – The Seton Hall women's cross country team placed fifth out of 14 teams at the 5K Metropolitan Championship Friday afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park in New York.

Junior Cristiana Rutkowski (Middletown, N.J.) led the way for the Pirates, finishing fifth out of 129 individual runners with a time of 18:48.4.

Freshman Olivia Hernandez (East Brunswick, N.J.) and senior Emily Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) finished 28th and 31st with respective times of 19:45.1 and 19:52.1.

The fourth and fifth Seton Hall runners to cross the finish line were freshman Emily Hernandez (East Brunswick, N.J.) in 34th (20:02.3) and junior Kiley Britten (Crystal Lake, Ill.) in 52nd (20:42.8).

Looking ahead, the Pirates will have a week off before competing in the BIG EAST Championship on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11:50 a.m. in Kenosha, Wis.
