SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Despite a game-high 23 points from JaQuan Jackson (Killeen, Texas), the Seton Hall womemn's basketball team (11-14, 4-10 BIG EAST) dropped a 77-60 decision to Georgetown (15-8, 7-6 BIG EAST) on Friday night at Walsh Gymnasium.
Aside from Jackson, Kaela Hilaire (Floral Park, N.Y.) and Lubirdia Gordon (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) also finished in double-figures for The Hall with 11 and 10, respectively. For Georgetown Faith Woodard finished with 19 points and eight rebounds while Dorothy Adomako (18) and Cynthia Petke (17) also finished in double-digits.
Turning Point
After a tight start, Georgetown used a 6-0 spurt at the tail end of the second quarter to take their first double-digit lead of the game, going into the break up 41-30. The Hoyas continued that momentum as the third quarter began, opening the frame on a 15-3 run en route to a 28-12 edge in the quarter to put the contest out of reach.
