SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team (4-3-2, 1-2-1 BIG EAST) kicks off a three-game homestand on Friday evening when it plays host to Providence (6-4-1, 3-1-0 BIG EAST) at Owen T. Carroll Field. Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m. and the match will air on the Pirate Sports Network.
Friday night is part of Pirate Pandemonium presented by the Student Alumni Association. Fans are encouraged to stop by the SAA table prior to or during the match.
The Hall is coming off a hard-earned BIG EAST point on the road last weekend, notching a 1-1 tie at DePaul behind a goal from Francisco Alderete (Salta, Argentina). The Friars enter the match in terrific form, winning their last three BIG EAST matches to vault to second in the league table after their most recent win against Marquette.
FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
The Pirates continue their home stretch and close out non-conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 16 when they host NJIT.

- The Pirate defense currently ranks third in the BIG EAST in fewest goals allowed per game
- The Hall is 12-16-6 all-time against Providence in a series dating back to 1982. The Pirates are looking to snap a five-game skid against the Friars, last picking up a win in 2012
