
Pirates Blank FDU, Remain Unbeaten at Home

South Orange, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's soccer team closed out its non-conference schedule with a win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday, 2-0.
The Pirates put away two goals in the first half and held Fairleigh Dickinson scoreless to pick up their second win of the season and remain undefeated at home.
CJ Tibbling (Jarna, Sweden) got the scoring started in the 23rd minute. The junior took a flick on from JP Marin (Briarwood, N.Y.) and out-dribbled the final Knight defender before finding the back of the net to put the Pirates on the scoreboard. Later in the first half, Marin put a good cross in off of a Pirate corner and found the head of Luca Dahn (Kahl, Germany) who finished off his first goal for The Hall in the 36th minute.
The Pirates held FDU scoreless with the help of a strong back line that only allowed on shot on net in 90 minutes. Both Hannes Ronnholmen (Stockholm, Sweden) and Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) split the shutout with Ronnholmen picking up the win.

- The Pirates have now come away with back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 2010 when they did so against St Peter's and Pittsburgh.
- The goal from Tibbling was his second of the season and 10th in a Pirate uniform.
- Marin's two assist were his first points of the season and second time with multiple assists in a match. The previous occurrence coming in last season's victory over Central Connecticut State where he also picked up two helpers.
- The win for Ronnholmen was the first of his career.
